As of this time of year in 2004, Chuck and I started dating. We met on August 12th, and I still have his first email that he sent to me. It's so cute and I can't believe it's been so long. I thought I'd share this bit of our history and his sly way of asking me out on a date in an email (the bar we met at, by the way, was the "R" Bar):
Hi Kat, I'm Chuck, we met at the Bar Bar on Wednesday night, remember? We
left with your friend Sandra from Ontario? Anyhow, I was just wondering how
the dog walking business was going? I might need someone to look after my
little girl Abby in the next couple weeks, and was wondering if you would be
interested?
Regardless, I was also wondering if you would be interested in getting
together sometime? I didn't get to talk to you much the other night so how
about we make up for that over coffee, drinks? Let me know if you are
interested (in either one or both!).
