Mood-o-meter reading: chill

The boss-lady just got back from Eureka, a small, ocean-side town in Northern California (AKA Nor Cal). Smokey the cat is going nuts, because he has missed his Mommy while she’s been away. He wouldn’t leave me alone this morning, so I had to put him in the bathroom. I’m constantly living in fear of having my face eaten off by the Smoke-Monster.

I went out for a pitcher of beer last night with Elaine. She’s one of those people who seem to have a ton of energy, and nearly always appear to be in a jovial mood. Elaine got a job working at a new upscale restaurant in a hotel, here in the city, after a span of 6 days. It really pays to have connections. So anywho, we went to Golden Boy Pizza. This spunky North Beach joint has a market narrowed down to a T. The theme is Punk Rock, down to the Misfits stickers on the napkin dispensers. Oddly enough, the music they were playing was not Punk, but 80’s rock. And not the fun, geekesque type, but Phil Collins and Rod Stewart. The funniest part about it was that it was a radio station. Elaine misunderstood the voiceover announcement of the call letters, “KOIT.” Ten bucks goes to the person to guess what she THOUGHT they said. Anyways, we were on the floor laughing. Good times. On our way to the next haunt, which ended up being closed, Elaine said, "I wish someone would just drive by and offer us a ride." At that exact moment, a cab driver slowed down and shouted at us, "Need a lift?" Recalling what a cabby had said to me the other day, that business has been slow with the war and no one wants to spend money on cabs, I asked the fine Jamaican gentleman if he would give us a deal. He asked us to make him an offer, and we were on our way to Nob Hill. We tried to get him to drive Elaine all of the way home for just another $2, but it was a no go. I asked him to drive to Geary Street, so that Elaine could catch her bus to the Inner Richmond, and not have to brave the Tenderloin herself. But, duh! Then I had to walk it on my own, ignoring homeless and crack addict beggers along the way. Good thing I got me some East Coast attitude! hehehe

Todays unwanted fact by moi: The website domain name of booger.com is still not taken.

Comments: Post a Comment
This is where I post my daily photos, thoughts and rants. I can whine and complain, or share my attempt at humor and retarded stories of tripping up steps or walking into poles. Perhaps I can make a small contribution to making the world, or at least my world, a happier place. Oh, and please feel free to comment! Unless it's mean. That wouldn't be good for my self esteem. Nor would it be good for your conscience and/or karma.
