Those bloodsuckers are everywhere. Between television shows like True Blood and the recent silver screen hit Twilight, vampire stories are everywhere. Why do we find these monsters so sexy?
Vampires rely on blood for sustainability; not food. They usually bight at the neck, being the most if not only bare flesh of most humans. The neck is sexy. It's an erogenous zone, so being bit on the neck evokes erotic sensations. The blood doesn't even damper the whole thing. Blood is gross, but not gross enough to evade the romanticism of vampirism.
